community garden

john and i are happy to have two 4 by 16 foot plots again at our community's garden just a quarter mile from our home. the beds have been framed and are filled with a mushroom compost mix. so far things are growing nicely for everyone.

we designated bed two to vining fruits and rigged up a trellis for the plants to climb. in bed one we built a branch teepee for our pole beans to vine.

  6. Your community garden looks like so much fun. I am still deciding on whether or not to plant this year. I will be out of the country for a month and I don't know if planting will be worth it! However, I will be very sad when I return in August without fresh veggies ready to harvest.
