a delicious debt...

these succulent suckers set me back fifteen bucks. absent-mindedly, i grabbed 'roasted and salted' instead of raw macadamia nuts for a raw cream cheese recipe. d'ah well... i could think of yuckier mistakes.=)

  1. I just bought the same thing. Aren't they pricey. We must have bought the same amount because that is how much mine cost as well. Not sure what I am making yet. Have fun.

  2. I bet you won't make the same mistake. I bought some- a year or so ago and was shocked when it rang up at $40!!!! I now order macadamia nut pieces from my co-op at a much cheaper price.

  3. I almost picked up some of these on my last shopping spree - pricey but so tasty! Glad your mistake still turned out to be very delicious. I had a friend who'd go home to Hawaii every year and bring back the mac pack varieties, you know in the cans? Sooo good! I'll take macs in just about any form. :)

  6. I have made that mistake - more than once. And one time I got 5# of roasted cashews. Boy that made me mad. I think I still have them in the freezer, because I don't like roasted nuts. Use your mac's for a topping for your raw ice cream. Yum!

  9. Pine nuts are insanely priced now as well--such a bummer b/c I would love to buy pounds and pounds of both.
