our young fig tree has finally produced a petite but sweet harvest. last summer and this spring she produced fruit that fell off before maturing. just when i thought all hope was lost for a summer crop, the small green fruit plumped up and turned a pretty purple hue. yay!
Pretty fig...I've never tried one though. Btw, I really like your zinnia pic at the top of your blog!
ReplyDeleteWhat Katrina said! What a pretty fig! I got a fig tree for Christmas, and it's about 2 feet tall now. I suppose it will take another year or two to fruit, but you've made be optimistic!
ReplyDeleteGreat! And looking good. I also love the zinnia picture very much, I have these in my garden!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't know a fig if it slapped me. I used to eat fig newtons, though.... :)
ReplyDeleteOh lucky lucky you!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your comment! :] Yes, we named the duckling McDuck, but gave him to a wild life rehabilitation center because we felt he needed ducks and a pond instead of his reflection and a bathtub. :]
