figs!

our young fig tree has finally produced a petite but sweet harvest. last summer and this spring she produced fruit that fell off before maturing. just when i thought all hope was lost for a summer crop, the small green fruit plumped up and turned a pretty purple hue. yay!

  2. What Katrina said! What a pretty fig! I got a fig tree for Christmas, and it's about 2 feet tall now. I suppose it will take another year or two to fruit, but you've made be optimistic!

  5. Thanks so much for your comment! :] Yes, we named the duckling McDuck, but gave him to a wild life rehabilitation center because we felt he needed ducks and a pond instead of his reflection and a bathtub. :]
