storing cilantro

don't you hate throwing away herbs because you didn't use them soon enough? here's a method i've been using to help extend the life of our beloved cilantro: fill the bottom of a tall container with cool water. use kitchen scissors or a sharp knife to remove about 1/2 an inch from the bottom of the cilantro stems (be sure to use fresh cilantro). place a paper bag loosely over the top of the container and store in the fridge. change the water daily. the cilantro should stay fresh for about 10 days!
